Registering and Logging In

This page explains how to create an account and log in to Colabmacs as a user.

Most users can register and get started quickly. If you are transitioning from a legacy system, there is one additional step you should be aware of — this is explained below.

Creating Your Account

To use Colabmacs, you must have an active user account.

1. Navigate to the Colabmacs login page provided by your facility
2. Click Register
3. Enter your email address and required details
4. Submit the registration form

Once submitted, Colabmacs will guide you through the next steps based on your account status.

Important: Legacy User Email Check

If your facility previously used a legacy system, your email address may already exist in Colabmacs.

Legacy User Notice

If your email address is recognized as belonging to a legacy user, Colabmacs will prompt you to confirm or complete your account instead of creating a duplicate profile.

What this means for you:

• You do not need to create a brand-new account
• Your historical access, training records, or associations may already exist
• You may be asked to verify your email or set a password to finish activation

This process ensures continuity and prevents lost access during the transition.

Email Verification

After registering (or completing a legacy account claim), you may be asked to verify your email address.

1. Check your inbox for a verification email
2. Click the verification link
3. Return to Colabmacs to continue

Didn’t receive an email?

Check your spam or junk folder. If the message is still missing, contact your facility administrator for help.

Logging In

Once your account is active:

1. Return to the Colabmacs login page
2. Enter your email address and password
3. Click Log In

If login is successful, you’ll be taken to your dashboard or landing page.

Forgot Your Password?

If you can’t remember your password:

1. Click Forgot Password on the login screen
2. Enter your email address
3. Follow the reset instructions sent to your inbox

Password reset links expire for security reasons. If you experience issues, request a new one.

Access After Login

After logging in, what you see depends on:

• Your facility
• Your role and permissions
• Any required training or approvals

Colabmacs will clearly show:

• What resources you can access now
• What steps (if any) are required before you can book or use resources
